How consumer rights affect this Plan

The benefits provided by this Plan are in addition to, and not instead of, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999, the Sale of Goods Act 1957 and any other applicable Malaysian law, and in addition to the EcoFlow Malaysia Warranty Policy and EcoFlow's manufacturer warranty.

Nothing in this Plan excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. You do not have to buy this Plan to buy any product, and buying it does not reduce your standard warranty.

This Plan is a service contract, not insurance

GoRental Care+ is a service contract under which EcoFlow Malaysia agrees to provide inspection, repair and replacement services for your Product. It is not a contract of insurance and does not indemnify you in cash. EcoFlow Malaysia is not an insurer, insurance agent or licensed financial adviser, and this Plan is not regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia. All remedies are delivered as repair, part replacement, unit replacement or store credit. No cash settlement is payable under any circumstances.

1.1

GoRental Care+ is an optional, paid extended protection programme offered by True Colour Media Group Sdn Bhd (202501025887), trading as EcoFlow Malaysia / GoRental.MY ("EcoFlow Malaysia", "we", "us", "our"), to purchasers of eligible EcoFlow Products in Malaysia.

1.2

This document is the "own terms provided at enrolment" referred to in Section 14 of the EcoFlow Malaysia Warranty Policy (the "Warranty Policy"). Where this document and the Warranty Policy differ, this document prevails for Plan Holders, but only in respect of the additional benefits it confers. It never reduces the standard warranty.

1.3

GoRental Care+ provides extended whole-unit coverage, an improved battery threshold, priority service, and Accidental Damage Cover, all under a single 5-year Plan Term, available only on Eligible Products. There is one plan and one price — nothing else to choose.

1.4

This Plan is separate from and additional to EcoFlow's manufacturer warranty, the Warranty Policy, and your statutory rights. You need not exhaust anything before claiming under this Plan — we apply whichever cover gives you the better outcome, at no cost to you.

1.5

This Plan is not for commercial sub-rental of the Product to third parties unless a Fleet Endorsement has been issued under clause 18.

02Definitions

Read the full clause wording (clauses 3.1–3.9)
3.1

To enrol you must be at least 18 years old, resident or registered in Malaysia, and the original purchaser of the Product.

3.2

The Product must be new, purchased in Malaysia from EcoFlow Malaysia or an Authorised Malaysian Channel, and be an Eligible Product. Products bought from marketplace resellers, overseas channels or other unauthorised sellers cannot be enrolled, consistent with Section 1 of the Warranty Policy.

3.3

Enrolment window. You may enrol at the point of sale or at any time within 30 calendar days of the date of delivery. Enrolment is not available after day 30, and only one Plan may be purchased per Product.

3.4

Enrolments made on or before day 14 require only your Original Invoice and the Product serial number. Enrolments between day 15 and day 30 additionally require a Condition Record, and we may at our discretion require a bench inspection at our own cost before accepting the enrolment.

3.5

Condition Record (mandatory). You must submit, within 7 days of enrolment: clear photographs of all external faces of the Product; a photograph of the serial number label; and a photograph or screenshot of the display or EcoFlow app showing cycle count and battery state of health. We will confirm acceptance in writing. If you do not submit an accepted Condition Record within 7 days, Accidental Damage Cover does not attach for the remainder of the Plan Term; the other benefits under this Plan are unaffected, and no refund of the Plan Fee is due.

3.6

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. This Plan does not cover any defect, damage or reduced battery capacity that existed before your enrolment was accepted, whether or not you were aware of it, and whether or not it appears in the Condition Record.

3.7

Cover begins on the date we issue your Plan Confirmation and the Plan Fee is received in full. Benefits under clauses 5 to 8 apply from that date, but the Plan Term is always measured from the date of delivery of the Product.

3.8

Only Eligible Products can be enrolled. GoRental Care+ is offered only on Products whose Standard Warranty is stated as "2 yr unit · 5 yr battery". No plan is available on any other product, including RIVER 3 and TRAIL series power stations, DELTA Pro, DELTA Pro Ultra inverter-only units, RIVER 3 extra batteries, GLACIER and WAVE units and their add-on batteries, alternator chargers, every solar panel, Power Hat, and all cables, connectors and adapters. The list below shows what is and is not eligible.

3.9

Discontinued, clearance, display and aged-stock units may be enrolled only where we expressly agree in writing, and only where the Original Invoice states a 2-year whole-unit and 5-year battery warranty. Where the invoice states any shorter or adjusted period, the unit is not an Eligible Product.

04What your Product is eligible for

4.1

One eligibility test. A Product can be enrolled only if its Standard Warranty under Section 3 of the Warranty Policy is stated as "2 yr unit · 5 yr battery". Those Products are Eligible Products. Every other EcoFlow product sold in Malaysia is outside this programme.

4.2

The Plan Term is 5 years of whole-unit coverage measured from the date of delivery. It absorbs, and does not run consecutively after, the 2-year Standard Warranty — so a Plan gives 5 years in total, not 5 years on top of 2. The 5-Year Limited Battery Warranty continues to run alongside it.

4.3

The result is one headline cover: 5 years whole unit, 5 years battery, and Accidental Damage Cover. There is one Plan Term and one price. There is nothing else to choose.

4.4  What you get

PricingCover you end up withAccidental damage
Confirmed at enrolment5 years whole unit + 5 years batteryIncluded at no additional Service Fee

Ask our team for a quote for your product, or see the price shown at checkout.

In plain terms

Your Product already has 2 years on the whole unit and 5 years on the battery. GoRental Care+ extends the whole unit to 5 years so that both match, improves the battery defect threshold from 70% to below 80%, and adds cover for accidental damage — drops, impacts, cracked casings, broken ports and liquid spills, none of which the standard warranty covers — at no Service Fee.

If your Product is not on the eligible list below, no extended plan is offered. Your standard warranty and your rights under Malaysian law are unaffected.

05Extended whole-unit coverage

WhatIn summary
What's coveredCasing, inverter, AC/DC outputs, USB ports, charging circuitry, display, buttons, fans, BMS and control boards.
How longThe full 5-year Plan Term, up from the 2 years given by the Standard Warranty. Runs alongside the 5-Year Limited Battery Warranty.
Cost to youNo charge for parts, labour or inspection on a valid claim. Repair first, then part replacement, then unit replacement.
Repaired/replaced partsWarranted for the remainder of the Plan Term, or 90 days from service completion — whichever is longer.
Read the full clause wording (clauses 5.1–5.6)
5.1

This Plan extends whole-unit coverage — casing, inverter, AC and DC outputs, USB ports, charging circuitry, display, buttons, fans, BMS and control boards — from the 2 years given by the Standard Warranty to the full Plan Term.

5.2

The Plan Term is 5 years on the whole unit. The 5-Year Limited Battery Warranty continues to run alongside it, so the Product is covered for 5 years whole unit and 5 years battery.

5.3

Where a component is covered by both this Plan and the 5-Year Limited Battery Warranty, we apply whichever gives you the better outcome, at no additional cost to you.

5.4

Within the Plan Term we will, for a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use, and at no charge for parts, labour or inspection: repair the Product; replace the defective part; or replace the unit, applying the repair-first approach in Section 6 of the Warranty Policy.

5.5

Repaired or replaced parts are warranted for the remainder of the Plan Term, or 90 days from service completion, whichever is longer.

5.6

The exclusions in Section 7 of the Warranty Policy continue to apply to defect claims under this clause 5, as supplemented by clause 13. Accidental Damage is covered only under clause 8, and only under GoRental Care+.

06Enhanced battery coverage

WhatIn summary
Defect thresholdBelow 80% of original rated capacity — improved from the 70% standard warranty threshold.
How long5 years from the date of delivery, matching the 5-Year Limited Battery Warranty.
Cost to youNo Service Fee, inspection fee, or parts and labour charge.
How it's assessedBench testing at the Service Centre against the Product's published spec. App readings and runtime are not a measure of capacity and are indicative only.
ConditionsYou must follow the battery-care rules — no 0% storage, recharge every 3 months in long storage, stay within temperature range, use EcoFlow-approved chargers/cables/connectors. End-of-life degradation past the rated cycle count is not covered.
Damaged batteryA swollen, leaking or burnt battery must be reported immediately and not shipped without our written instructions.
Read the full clause wording (clauses 6.1–6.6)
6.1

The 80% standard. Section 8 of the Warranty Policy assesses a battery as defective only where usable capacity falls below 70% of original rated capacity. For Plan Holders this threshold is improved to below 80%.

6.2

Where, within the Plan Term and within the Product's rated cycle life, bench testing at the Service Centre confirms usable capacity below 80% of original rated capacity, we will replace the battery cells or module, or replace the unit, at our reasonable discretion. No Service Fee, inspection fee or parts and labour charge applies.

6.3

Battery capacity is assessed only by bench testing at the Service Centre against the Product's published specification. App readings, runtime observations and third-party measurements are indicative only. Runtime is not a measure of capacity — Section 8 of the Warranty Policy explains why load, ambient temperature and usage drive runtime.

6.4

Conditions. Enhanced battery coverage applies only where you have complied with the battery-care conditions in Section 8 of the Warranty Policy: not storing the Product at 0% charge; keeping a moderate charge and recharging at least once every 3 months during long storage; charging and operating within the specified temperature ranges; and using only EcoFlow-approved chargers, cables and solar connectors. Capacity loss after the rated cycle count has been exceeded is end-of-life degradation and is not covered.

6.5

How long battery coverage runs. Battery coverage under this clause runs for 5 years from the date of delivery, matching the 5-Year Limited Battery Warranty. The improved 80% threshold applies for that whole period.

6.6

A swollen, leaking or burnt battery must be reported immediately and must not be shipped without our written handling instructions.

Inspection fee waived. The inspection fee in Section 11.1 of the Warranty Policy — otherwise compulsory even on valid in-warranty claims — is waived for Plan Holders on every valid claim. Where inspection concludes the fault is not covered, the standard inspection fee applies and is creditable toward any chargeable repair you approve.

7.2

Courier waived. Contrary to Section 11.3 of the Warranty Policy, on a valid claim we pay both the inbound and return courier legs within Malaysia. You must use the carrier and packaging method we nominate.

7.3

Priority handling. Plan Holder cases are triaged ahead of standard cases. Our target timeframes, which are estimates and not guarantees:

StageTarget
Acknowledge your request1 business day
Inspection and diagnosis after receipt3 business days
Repair after your approval, parts in local stock7 business days
Repair requiring imported parts or HQ reviewAdvised case by case
7.4

East Malaysia. Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan cases remain subject to Section 11.5 of the Warranty Policy for lead times and logistics. Courier waivers apply, capped at our prevailing West Malaysia courier rate for the same product family, with any excess payable by you and disclosed before dispatch.

7.5

Loan unit. Where a valid claim is expected to keep the Product at the Service Centre for more than 10 business days, we will offer a loan unit of the same or a functionally comparable model from our rental fleet, free of rental charge, for the duration of the repair. Eligible models are DELTA 2, DELTA 3, DELTA Pro 3 and DELTA Pro Ultra series power stations. Loan units are subject to availability, a refundable security deposit, signature of our standard rental terms as to care and liability, and return within 3 business days of collection of your repaired Product. Loan units are not available for extra batteries or RIVER 2 Pro, and are not available in East Malaysia.

08Accidental Damage Cover

WhatIn summary
Applies toEligible Products, with an accepted Condition Record on file.
CoveredDrops, crush or impact damage that impairs function; spills/splashes beyond the IP rating; a physically broken plug, port or display.
Not coveredCosmetic-only damage; deliberate damage; theft or loss; flood, fire, lightning, storm and other force majeure; pest or rodent damage; grid or vehicle power surges.
BatteryCovered only where an external event physically damaged it — not swelling or failure from over-discharge or improper storage/charging.
Notify us within14 calendar days of the incident, with photos and a plain description of what happened.
Read the full clause wording (clauses 8.1–8.8)
8.1

This clause applies only where an accepted Condition Record is on file. GoRental Care+ is available on Eligible Products only. Accidental damage to any product outside the eligible list is not covered by this Plan.

8.2

Subject to the claim limits in clause 10 and the exclusions in clause 13, we will repair or replace the Product where it suffers Accidental Damage during the Plan Term, at no Service Fee, deductible or excess.

8.3

The damage must impair function. Cosmetic damage that does not affect function — scratches, scuffs, dents, fading, marks — is not covered. Where you ask us to restore cosmetic condition, we will quote for that work separately.

8.4

Examples of what is covered. Dropping the Product and cracking the casing so a port or latch no longer functions; crushing or impact damage in transport that disables an output; a spill or splash exceeding the Product's IP rating that causes an internal fault; a 3-pin plug or port physically broken by mishandling; a display cracked by impact. Each of these is excluded under the Warranty Policy and is covered here.

8.5

Examples of what is not covered. Deliberate damage; damage from continuing to use the Product after damage has occurred; theft, loss or unexplained disappearance; flood, fire, lightning, storm or other force majeure; pest or rodent damage. Grid or vehicle power surges and lightning remain excluded because they are neither a manufacturing defect nor a single accidental handling event.

8.6

Battery damage. Accidental Damage to a battery is covered only where an external event has physically damaged it. Swelling, leakage or failure arising from over-discharge, deep discharge, improper storage or charging from a non-approved source is excluded.

8.7

Notify us within 14 days. You must notify us of an Accidental Damage incident within 14 calendar days of the date it occurred, and provide photographs and a plain description of how it happened. Late notification may result in the claim being declined where the delay has prevented us from properly assessing the cause or has worsened the damage.

8.8

Products outside the programme. Solar panels, GLACIER and WAVE units, RIVER 3 and TRAIL series power stations, DELTA Pro, DELTA Pro Ultra inverter-only units, alternator chargers, Power Hat and all cables are not Eligible Products. Accidental damage to any of them remains excluded, as set out in Section 7 of the Warranty Policy, and is handled as paid repair under Section 13 of that policy.

09No Service Fee for Accidental Damage

WhatIn summary
Cost to youNothing beyond your Plan Fee. No Service Fee, deductible or excess on any Accidental Damage claim.
ReplacesThe standard inspection fee, which is also waived. No parts or labour charge either.
Multiple itemsWhere one incident damages a Product and a separately enrolled battery, each is a separate claim — neither attracts a fee.
Not Accidental Damage? If it's a covered defect instead, it's handled free of charge under clause 5 or 6. If it's neither, the standard inspection fee and a paid quotation apply under the Warranty Policy.
Read the full clause wording (clauses 9.1–9.4)
9.1

No Service Fee, deductible or excess is payable for any Accidental Damage claim under this Plan. Repair, parts, labour and replacement are provided at no additional charge beyond the Plan Fee.

9.2

This also replaces, and is not charged in addition to, the inspection fee in Section 11.1 of the Warranty Policy, which is waived on every valid Accidental Damage claim.

9.3

Where a single incident damages an enrolled Product and a separately enrolled extra battery, each is treated as a separate claim, and neither attracts a fee.

9.4

Where inspection concludes the fault is a covered defect rather than Accidental Damage, no fee is payable and the claim is handled under clause 5 or 6. Where it is neither a covered defect nor Accidental Damage, the standard inspection fee applies and any repair is quoted under Section 13 of the Warranty Policy.

10Limits of liability and claim counts

LimitApplies
Defect repair claims
clauses 5 and 6
Unlimited within the Plan Term, subject to the Aggregate Cap.
Accidental Damage incidents
clause 8
Maximum 1 over the whole 5-year Plan Term.
Unit replacements2 over the Plan Term, counted across defect and Accidental Damage claims combined.
Aggregate CapThe total value of all benefits provided under the Plan — parts, labour, replacement units, courier we have paid and any store credit — must not exceed the Original Purchase Price.
Read the full clause wording (clauses 10.1–10.3)
10.1

When the Aggregate Cap is reached, the Plan ends automatically. No further benefits are payable and no refund of the Plan Fee is due. We will notify you in writing when 80% of the Aggregate Cap has been used.

10.2

When the permitted number of unit replacements has been provided, the Plan ends automatically on delivery of the final replacement.

10.3

Value is counted at our cost of the parts and labour supplied, and at the current MSRP of any replacement unit provided.

11Repair, replacement and beyond economical repair

WhatIn summary
Order of remedyRemote troubleshooting → inspection → repair → part replacement → unit replacement. No entitlement to a new/newer model, upgrade, refund or waiting-time compensation.
Parts usedNew, equivalent-to-new, or reconditioned parts tested to spec. A replacement unit may differ in colour and finish.
Beyond Economical RepairTriggered when repair cost reaches 80% of current MSRP. We replace rather than repair, capped at the Original Purchase Price.
If we can't repair or replaceStore credit, valid 60 days, to the lesser of Original Purchase Price or current MSRP of the nearest equivalent. No cash settlement, ever.
Cover after replacementContinues on the replacement unit for the rest of the Plan Term — the term does not restart.
Your dataMay be erased during servicing. Back up before sending the Product in.
Read the full clause wording (clauses 11.1–11.8)
11.1

Repair first. All claims follow the sequence in Section 6 of the Warranty Policy: remote troubleshooting, inspection, repair, part replacement, then unit replacement. Holding a Plan does not entitle you to demand a new unit, a newer model, an upgrade, a refund or compensation for waiting time.

11.2

We may repair using parts that are new, equivalent to new, or reconditioned and tested to the manufacturer's functional specification.

11.3

Where we replace the unit, the replacement may be a new unit, a repaired good-as-new unit, or a functionally equivalent model, at our reasonable discretion. Colour, finish and non-functional features may differ.

11.4

Beyond Economical Repair. Where repair cost equals or exceeds 80% of current MSRP, we will replace the Product rather than repair it. The value of any replacement will not exceed the Original Purchase Price. Where the only available replacement has a higher current price, we will tell you the difference and you may either pay it or take the option in clause 11.5.

11.5

Store credit alternative. Where we cannot repair the Product and cannot offer a suitable replacement, we may instead issue store credit redeemable at EcoFlow Malaysia, valid for 60 days, to the value of the lesser of the Original Purchase Price and the current MSRP of the nearest equivalent model. No cash refund or cash settlement is payable under this Plan in any circumstances.

11.6

You must surrender the replaced Product. On replacement or store credit settlement, the original Product and any parts removed become our property and must be surrendered before or on delivery of the remedy. If you do not, we may charge you the current MSRP of the replacement supplied.

11.7

Cover follows the Product. Where we replace the unit, the replacement becomes the Product under this Plan and cover continues for the remainder of the Plan Term. The Plan Term does not restart. Where we settle by store credit, the Plan ends on issue of the credit and no refund of the Plan Fee is due.

11.8

We will erase data and reset settings where servicing requires it. Back up your settings before sending the Product in. We are not responsible for loss of data, settings or configurations.

12Your obligations and conditions of cover

No unauthorised repairsDo not open, disassemble, modify or have the Product repaired by anyone other than us or the Service Centre — before or during the Plan Term.
After an incidentTake reasonable care to prevent further damage. Stop using a Product that is visibly damaged, smoking, swollen, leaking or unusually hot, and tell us immediately.
Cooperate with claimsTell us the truth about how damage happened, and give us reasonable access to the Product and information to assess a claim.
PackagingPack the Product for transport as we instruct. Damage from inadequate packaging on a leg you arranged is not covered.
Tell us within 14 daysIf your contact details change, ownership changes, or the Product's use changes from what was declared at enrolment.

13What this Plan does not cover

13.1

The exclusions in Section 7 of the Warranty Policy apply to this Plan, except to the extent that clauses 5 to 8 expressly restore cover. In particular, GoRental Care+ restores cover for drop, crush, impact, physical and liquid damage that the Warranty Policy excludes.

13.2

In addition, this Plan does not cover, and we will not be liable for:

4. Wait for an RMADo not ship the Product before you receive a Return Material Authorization and packaging instructions. Units sent without one may be refused or returned at your cost.
5. Inspection and quoteWe inspect every Product before deciding coverage. Where the outcome is a chargeable repair, no work begins without your written approval.
6. If you disagreeEscalate to EcoFlow's technical support or an independent assessor, or bring a claim before the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia or any competent court.

14.1

Contact us at aftersales@gorental.my or by WhatsApp on (+60) 11-2826 7727, quoting your Plan Confirmation number. Business hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (MYT).

14.2

Provide your Plan Confirmation number, the Original Invoice, the Product model and serial number, clear photographs or video of the issue and, for an Accidental Damage claim, a plain description of how and when the damage happened.

14.3

We will attempt remote diagnosis first. Many issues are resolved without sending the Product in, which avoids unnecessary shipping and no-fault-found trips.

14.4

Do not ship the Product before you receive a Return Material Authorization (RMA) and our packaging and shipping instructions. Products sent without an RMA may be refused or returned at your cost.

14.5

We inspect every Product before making a coverage decision, in accordance with Section 10 of the Warranty Policy. You will receive our finding in writing. Where the outcome is a chargeable repair, you receive a quotation and no chargeable work begins without your written approval.

14.6

Where you dispute our finding, the case may be escalated to EcoFlow's official technical support or to an independent third-party assessor. Where an independent assessor is appointed by agreement, the assessment is final and binding on both of us as to the technical cause, and we bear the assessor's cost where the assessment goes in your favour.

14.7

Nothing in clause 14.6 prevents you from bringing a claim before the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia or any court of competent jurisdiction.

Read the full clause wording (clauses 15.1–15.5)
15.1

You may transfer this Plan once, permanently, to a new owner of the Product, together with the Product itself. The Plan cannot be transferred to a different product.

15.2

To transfer, notify us in writing within 14 days of the change of ownership, giving the Plan Confirmation number, the Product serial number and the new owner's name, address, telephone number and email address; deliver the Original Invoice, the Plan Confirmation and these terms to the new owner; and ensure the new owner accepts these terms in writing. An administration fee of RM50 applies.

15.3

On transfer, the new owner becomes the Plan Holder for the remainder of the Plan Term. The Plan Term does not restart, and the Aggregate Cap and claim counts already used are not reset. The new owner takes the Plan subject to the Condition Record on file.

15.4

If you sell or transfer the Product without complying with clause 15.2, the Plan terminates on the date of transfer of ownership and no refund is due.

15.5

Except under this clause 15 you may not sell, assign, sub-contract, delegate or otherwise transfer your rights under this Plan.

Read the full clause wording (clauses 16.2–16.5)
16.2

Pro-rata is calculated as the Plan Fee multiplied by the number of whole unexpired months of the Plan Term, divided by the total number of months of the Plan Term.

16.3

The value of benefits already provided means our cost of the parts and labour supplied, the current MSRP of any replacement unit provided, courier costs we have paid, and any store credit issued.

16.4

We may cancel the Plan on 30 days' written notice if spare parts for the Product cease to be reasonably available to us, in which case you receive a pro-rata refund with no deduction.

16.5

17Termination and voiding

TriggerWhat happens
Automatic end (no refund)Plan Term expires; Aggregate Cap reached; permitted replacements used up; store credit settlement issued; or an unreported ownership transfer.
We may terminate immediatelyAltered/removed serial number; unauthorised opening or repair; fraud, attempted fraud or material misrepresentation; or unauthorised third-party rental.
Fraud casesWe may also recover our cost of services already provided in reliance on the fraud or misrepresentation.
Your other rightsTermination does not affect your Standard Warranty or statutory rights, except where those rights are lost by the same conduct.
Read the full clause wording (clauses 17.1–17.4)
17.1

This Plan ends automatically, without refund, on the earliest of: expiry of the Plan Term; the Aggregate Cap being reached; the permitted number of unit replacements having been provided; settlement by store credit under clause 11.5; and a transfer of ownership that does not comply with clause 15.2.

17.2

We may terminate this Plan immediately, without refund, where: the Product's serial number has been removed, altered or made unreadable; the Product has been opened, modified or repaired by anyone other than us or the Service Centre; you have committed fraud, attempted fraud, material misrepresentation or material non-disclosure in connection with enrolment or a claim; or you have rented, hired or lent the Product to a third party for reward without a Fleet Endorsement.

17.3

Where we terminate for fraud or material misrepresentation, we may also require you to pay our cost of any services already provided in reliance on it.

17.4

Termination does not affect your rights under the Standard Warranty, the Warranty Policy or Malaysian law, except where those rights are themselves lost by the same conduct.

18Commercial, rental and fleet use

Use caseCovered?
Your own business/trade useCovered — you and your Authorised Users.
Rented, hired or lent for rewardNot covered without a written Fleet Endorsement — a separately priced schedule for rental/event operators and corporate/government buyers. Contact us for a quote.
Business buyersIf you buy for resupply, hire or rental to third parties, you are not a "consumer" under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 — your rights are those in this Plan and the contract of sale.
ComplianceWe may monitor claim patterns; undisclosed rental/multi-user use can lead to termination under clause 17.2.
Read the full clause wording (clauses 18.1–18.5)
18.1

This Plan covers use of the Product by you and your Authorised Users, including use in your own business or trade.

18.2

It does not cover the Product while it is rented, hired, leased or lent to a third party for reward, or used for public rental, event hire or communal multi-user use, unless we have issued a written Fleet Endorsement for that Product.

18.3

A Fleet Endorsement is available for rental operators, event operators, and corporate and government buyers. It is priced separately, may carry different claim limits and Condition Record requirements, and is set out in a separate schedule. Contact our team for a quote.

18.4

If you are not a consumer. Where you acquire the Product for the purpose of resupply in trade, or for hire or rental to third parties, you are not a "consumer" under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 and that Act's implied guarantees do not apply to your purchase. Your rights are those set out in this Plan, the Warranty Policy and the contract of sale.

18.5

We may reasonably monitor claim patterns to confirm compliance with this clause. Repeated Accidental Damage claims consistent with undisclosed rental or multi-user use may result in a request for information and, where the use is confirmed, termination under clause 17.2.

19Limitation of liability

WhatIn summary
Nature of the PlanA service contract, not insurance. No cash indemnity — our obligation is repair, replacement and service benefits only.
Liability capLimited to the Original Purchase Price. No liability for indirect/consequential loss — lost profit, rental income, downtime, data or spoiled contents.
Never limitedDeath or personal injury from our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Consumer rights prevailAny clause here that would unlawfully exclude a right under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or other law simply does not apply to you — the rest of the Plan stays in force.
Events outside our controlNo liability for delay from parts unavailability, carrier/customs delays, natural disaster or government action — and no charge to you for it.
Read the full clause wording (clauses 19.1–19.5)
19.1

This Plan is a service contract. It is not a contract of insurance, we are not an insurer or a licensed insurance intermediary, and no cash indemnity is payable. Our obligation is to provide the repair, replacement and service benefits described in this Plan.

19.2

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with this Plan, whether in contract, tort, negligence, statute or otherwise, is limited to the Original Purchase Price of the Product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of rental income, loss of business or contract, downtime, loss of data, spoiled contents, or damage to other equipment or property.

19.3

Nothing in this Plan limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

19.4

Consumer rights prevail. Section 6 of the Consumer Protection Act 1999 provides that the Act applies notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any agreement. Where any provision of this Plan would exclude, restrict or modify a right or remedy that the Act or other applicable law does not permit to be excluded, that provision does not apply to you to that extent, and the remainder of this Plan continues in force.

19.5

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including parts unavailability from the manufacturer, carrier delays, customs delays, natural disaster and government action. We will keep you informed and will not charge you for the delay.

Changes to these termsThe version in effect when you enrolled applies for your full Plan Term, unless a change is legally required or wholly to your benefit.
Your dataProcessed to administer the Plan, verify eligibility, handle claims and prevent fraud, per the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
ComplaintsEmail aftersales@gorental.my first. Unresolved after 14 days? Escalate to the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (claims up to RM50,000) or any competent court.

Read the full clause wording (clauses 20.1–20.6)
20.1

We may amend these terms from time to time. The version in effect on the date you enrolled applies to your Plan for its full Plan Term, except where an amendment is required by law or is wholly to your benefit.

20.2

We will process your personal data for the purposes of administering the Plan, verifying eligibility, handling claims and fraud prevention, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and our privacy notice.

20.3

If we do not enforce a provision on any occasion, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

20.4

This Plan does not confer rights on any third party other than a transferee under clause 15.

20.5

Complaints. Please raise any complaint with our team at aftersales@gorental.my in the first instance. Note on bundles

Where a bundle carries different periods for the appliance and the battery — for example GLACIER Classic 45L + Battery at 1 year fridge and 2 years battery, or WAVE 3 + Add-on Battery at 1 year unit and 2 years battery — the bundle is not an Eligible Product, because the whole-unit period is not 2 years with 5 years on the battery.

BWorked Examples

These examples illustrate how common situations are handled. They are for guidance only; every case is assessed on its own inspection findings.

Covered

DELTA 3 Max inverter failure at month 34

Situation
A customer holds GoRental Care+ on a DELTA 3 Max, so the Plan Term is 5 years whole unit. At month 34 the AC output stops working. Unit is clean, serial intact, invoice and Plan Confirmation provided.
Finding
Inverter module failure, a manufacturing defect. The standard warranty on the unit expired at month 24, so without the Plan this would be a paid repair.
Outcome
Repaired free of parts, labour and inspection charge under clause 5. Return courier paid by us. Repair carries the remainder of the Plan Term or 90 days, whichever is longer.
Covered

DELTA Pro 3 dropped off a tailgate

Situation
A Care+ Plan Holder drops a DELTA Pro 3 while unloading. The casing cracks, the enclosure is visibly bent and the unit will not power on.
Finding
Accidental Damage — an internal fault with a deformed enclosure. Reported on day 3, within the 14-day window.
Outcome
Covered under clause 8 at no Service Fee; we cover all parts and labour and both courier legs. A loan DELTA Pro 3 is offered because the repair will exceed 10 business days. This is the single Accidental Damage incident permitted for the Plan Term — no further Accidental Damage claims will be payable, though defect claims under clauses 5 and 6 continue unaffected.
Covered

DELTA 3 Plus battery at 77% in year 4

Situation
A Plan Holder reports shorter runtime at month 45. Cycle count is 1,180, well within the 4,000-cycle rating. Charging history is compliant.
Finding
Bench testing confirms usable capacity at 77% of original rated capacity. Under the Warranty Policy alone this would be declined, because the 70% threshold has not been reached.
Outcome
Covered under clause 6. Battery module replaced free of charge, no Service Fee. This is the clearest single benefit of holding a Plan.
Declined

Scratched and dented DELTA 2 casing

Situation
A Care+ Plan Holder asks for the casing to be replaced after scuffing and denting it in a vehicle. The unit works normally.
Finding
The damage is cosmetic and does not impair function, so it is not Accidental Damage and is excluded under clause 13.2.
Outcome
Not covered. We quote separately for a cosmetic casing replacement if the customer wants it. No Service Fee is charged and no claim is counted.
Declined

DELTA 3 Plus submerged in a flood

Situation
A Care+ Plan Holder's home floods; the unit is submerged and later fails.
Finding
Flood is an excluded peril under clause 13.2 and is not a single accidental handling event under clause 8. Water ingress beyond IP rating is also excluded by Section 7 of the Warranty Policy.
Outcome
Not covered under this Plan. We explain that flood is a household or business insurance matter, offer a paid inspection and, if repair is viable, a quotation under Section 13 of the Warranty Policy.
Declined

DELTA 2 previously opened by a third-party shop

Situation
A Care+ claim is made for an internal fault after a drop. Inspection finds a broken warranty seal and non-original parts inside, from work done before enrolment.
Finding
Clause 13.2 excludes damage of any cause where the Product has been repaired by an unauthorised party at any time before or during the Plan Term. Clause 3.6 also excludes pre-existing conditions.
Outcome
Claim declined and the Plan terminated under clause 17.2. As the conduct predates enrolment and no benefit has been provided, we refund the Plan Fee in full as a goodwill measure and offer a paid repair quotation.
Not eligible

RIVER 3 Max — customer asks for a plan

Situation
A customer buying a RIVER 3 Max asks to add GoRental Care+ at the counter.
Finding
The RIVER 3 Max carries a 2-year warranty including the battery, not 2 years unit plus 5 years battery. It is not an Eligible Product under clause 4.1, so neither tier can be sold on it.
Outcome
No plan is offered. The customer keeps the full 2-year standard warranty, the 30-day DOA window and every right under Malaysian law. Staff explain the position at the point of sale, not at the point of claim. If the customer wants extended cover, the DELTA 3 range is eligible.
Cap reached

Aggregate Cap exhausted on a DELTA 3

Situation
A DELTA 3 bought for RM3,299 has had a covered inverter repair (RM900), a covered battery module replacement (RM1,600) and an Accidental Damage repair (RM1,100 of parts and labour).
Finding
Total benefits provided are RM3,600, exceeding the RM3,299 Original Purchase Price. The Aggregate Cap in clause 10 is reached.
Outcome
The Plan ends automatically. No further benefits and no refund. We notified the customer in writing when 80% of the Cap had been used, and offer a paid repair service and a new Plan on any replacement unit purchased.
